| <KFTA and MEST are having a policy dialogue>
On February 11th, MEST minister Ahn Byong-man visited KFTA and said, "After taking office, I've seen so many changes in education driven by teachers' passionate efforts," "I'd like to thank all the teachers who have made great efforts for a better future of the nation amid many difficulties."
He was the first incumbent education minister to visit KFTA since 2000. Minister Ahn wrote, "I wish KFTA to become a cornerstone of the national education development." in a guest book.
President Lee of KFTA attached great significance to the minister's visit saying, "We extend a big welcome to Minister Ahn's preferential visit to KFTA for a better communication with actual education reality."
Minister Ahn replied, "I'm very pleased to visit KFTA which suggests future direction for our education and improved socioeconomic status of teachers," "Government policies and teachers' passions should come together to make our public education as one of the best in the world." in his greetings.
In the following Q & A session with industry representatives, he explained MEST's views on current education issues such as college entrance exam and national student assessment and actively discussed the opinions of KFTA and actual education sites.
