| <Special session for school violence is being held>
KFTA organized a three-week special session on school violence from May 11th to educate children on the severity and prevention of school violence. The session was operated in nationwide primary, middle and high schools autonomously to help children learn how to prevent and respond to school violence with a correct understanding and thus reducing its occurrence.
Despite constant pan-government efforts, school violence has not been eradicated easily. KFTA recognized the need for active prevention education by schools who are supposed to protect students.
Schools used lesson plans and materials (including PPT and videos) on KFTA webpage. (Lower elementary school-“Prevention of verbal violence”, Upper elementary school-“Cyber Crime, an involuntary offence”, Middle school-“Understanding & responding to bullying and extortion”, High school-“Law has no mercy for school violence”)
"School violence can be reduced when students realize its harms through consistent education," KFTA president Lee Won-hee explained and asked principals and teachers "to understand KFTA intention and actively participate in the special program."
