| <A special class on novel flu is being held at a high school in Seoul>
With concerns over a rapid spread of novel flu among students as new semester sets in, KFTA is operating diverse activities to prevent flu spread in schools and to come up with solutions.
KFTA said prevention and control measures for schools should be established at the national level as schools are most vulnerable place for collective infection.
As part of efforts, KFTA had an special open class on novel flu prevention at Sejong Science High School on August 25th for more than 160 first-year high school students.
The special session was designed to prevent additional spread of novel flu through student education.
In addition, KFTA sent a recommendation to the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The recommendation demanded a sufficient supply of flu vaccines and medicines to ease the fear of schools and children and prevent collective infection and the development and distribution of a School Manual for Infectious Disease Control at the national level.
