On Dec 23, KFTA announced the production and distribution of「Teacher Counselling Casebook」to answer the questions of teachers regarding their profession and to minimize possible disadvantages they might have when they don't understand related regulations.
KFTA has provided and supported thousands of teachers counselling a year through the Internet, fax, mails and visits. Favorite counselling topics are chosen each week and posted on http://support.kfta.or.kr and in the "Q&A on Teaching" section of Korean Education Weekly. The casebook is based on these cases.
The book includes related regulations and real counselling cases segmented into various topics including salary, allowances, job service, suspension & reinstatement, promotion, employment, qualification, rewards & disciplinary actions and welfare.
"Teachers who should be committed to teaching are suffering difficulties in terms of school administration, personnel management, on-service jobs or remuneration in reality," said president Lee Won-Hee in a preface to the book. "I hope this publication will serve their difficulties or curiosity and help their problem-solving skills."
The casebook is also available for download at KFTA's webpage.
