| The KFTA is planning to hold the following international seminars in August, 2006:
The KFTA will jointly hold the first education seminar on 'Teachers' Qualification and Promotion System' with National Union of the Teaching Profession, Malaysia's largest association of teachers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on August 2nd. The seminar will be attended by 10 people from each organization, including KFTA members from 'Special Committee of Advanced Teachers' Promotion System' and 'International Cooperation Committee,' and other academic professionals. They will also visit a school in Malaysia.
The KFTA will also hold the '2006 Education Seminar for Peace Education Materials’ between Korea, China, and Japan' in Beijing, China from August 11th to 13th. The event, which has been jointly held by the KFTA and the Japan Teachers' Union (JTU) since 2003, will be joined by All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) this year. Participants from the three countries will present demonstration lectures and have discussions, and on the final day the representatives of the KFTA and JTU are scheduled to visit historical spots in China.
The KFTA will also jointly hold 'The 22nd Education Seminar' with Japan Education Association (JEA) in Tokyo, Japan in August 22nd. Under the theme of 'the Current Situation of Teacher Evaluation System and Future Tasks', professor Mr. Jeon Je-Sang of Gyeongju University in Korea will make a presentation about the Korean situation, while principal Tzbouchi Akira of Onari Middle School in Tokyo, Japan will talk about the situation in Japan.
