The KFTA is planning to make ‘1388 Teachers’ Support Team’ with National Youth Commission in order to let in-danger-students exposed to school violence, family troubles, and dropouts, have the opportunity to re-enter home, school, and society.
On September 20th, the KFTA conclude an agreement on making ‘1388 Teachers’ Support Team’ in cooperation with Nationwide Counseling and Resource Center for Youth to carry out projects for youth in danger. KFTA president, Mr. YOUN Jong-Gun appealed to teachers to join this project, saying “It is the teachers who know most about students in schools and the community. We should raise children in a proper way with a dense safety net of heartfelt concerns and cooperation.”
At first, ‘1388 Teachers’ Support Team’ will find youth and families who need help and offer proper measures for each case with Counseling and Resource Center for Youth.
They will notify a 1388 counseling call center for students and provide guidelines to all teachers within October for teaching youth in danger.
